Ballerina Anti-Obesity capsules pose a serious risk to health and should not be taken.
As per website, manufacturers of Ballerina Slimming Capsules mentioned that the product is made of 100% herbal ingredients, which are absolutely harmless to take, which there are:
- Hawthorn: is used to lower the cholesterol levels.
- Pearl: safe and effecting whitening compound.
- Polyphenol: an extract from green tea which accelerates fat burning.
- Lotus Leaf: removes tonic materials from the body.
- Ginseng: for strength and vigor.
But during the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) investigation of Ballerina Anti-Obesity capsules it was found that:
The capsules contain the undeclared substances phenolphthalein and sibutramine.
Important note to consumers:
- Phenolphthalein is a prescription-only substance previously marketed as an oral laxative, withdrawn from sale from many markets in the late 1990’s due to concerns over its carcinogenicity with long term use.
- Consumers are advised that sibutramine is a prescription-only medicine (which was the active ingredient in Reductil). It was withdrawn in October 2010 after a study showed an increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
The supply of Ballerina Anti-Obesity capsules containing undisclosed phenolphthalein and sibutramine is illegal.
Consumers please note that products purchased over the Internet:
- may contain undisclosed and potentially harmful ingredients
- may not meet the same standards of quality, safety and efficacy as those approved by the regulatory authorities.
